How am I feeling today?
I woke up a bit stiff and tired, so I made the choice to make today a rest day while I was out walking Bennie first thing. It was already in the ‘70s with high humidity, not the kind of weather I run well in and if I had a gym membership would be a treadmill kind of day. I do have to increase my hydration efforts in this weather and will work on that as the day goes on.

Today’s Running Focus
With the temps headed towards the mid-90s and humidity in the stoopid levels, and having run too many days in a row, I decided to make today a rest day. Recovery and rest are an important part of training, and my body is telling me that it needs a day off after a good week last week. I have reached my 100-mile goal for the month of June, so I don’t have that hanging over my head either.
A very good day to rest.

Did that workout go as planned?
Exactly as I thought it would. I was bored stiff, kept trying to figure out how to get outside to get a run in and avoided doing it, like I was supposed to.
Injuries/Niggles: Nothing that really bothered.
Weather: Hot and nasty
