Routine Run – RunLog July 6, 2020

Planned run and focus: Run down to Sunset/Blue Ridge Loop and back to 10K. Just an easy run.

How did it go?

I did everything I wanted to do during this run. No big effort at any place, just running comfortably all the way through to the end.

I was running along enjoying Steven King’s “On Writing”, but the phone started acting up and it began to be more of a distraction than it was worth and I just turned off the audio book and ran without it. I have changed a bunch of settings on the phone and will try it again on my next easy run to see if it makes a difference.

This was just one of those get it done runs, that us runners do most days.

The Run

  • Course: Blue Ridge/Sunset Ridge O/B
  • Weather:

  • Time: 57:20
  • Pace: 9:14

Splits:

  • 1.0 – 9:09
  • 2.0 – 9:15
  • 3.0 – 9:06
  • 4.0 – 8:55
  • 5.0 – 9:29

Shoes:

Mizuno Inspire 15 – I was disappointed with how the bottom of my feet again. I had snugged up the laces a little, but it seemed to be just a touch too much on my left foot and that distracted me more than the right foot for a change. As a result I went ahead and put my elastic laces in and will see how those work, it will take a couple of runs to get the tension correct, but hopefully this change makes a difference.

Anything Else?

Nope, just another run.
