This morning I had a bit of a conundrum about which shoes to wear for my treadmill workout this morning and finally ended up decided to break out my the New Balance Beacon v1 that I got for Christmas. You can read more about it here.
It was definitely the correct choice.
They are a pair of 9.5 wide and the women’s model. I really dislike the boring colorways of the men’s versions and with New Balance shoes, the women’s 9.5 wide fit me the same as a men’s 8.0 D. The only difference that I notice is that the heel cup is a little snugger, which I like and the feel is slightly softer than the men’s versions. At least from my perspective and for me that is a good thing since those were the two things I wasn’t crazy about with Beacon v1 men’s.
They were comfortable, I tried them at several different paces and no issues whatsoever at any point during the run.
They have definitely become my treadmill shoes of choice.
