The New Balance 860 v6 EE’s is yet another older running shoe, but I got them for a specific purpose and didn’t want to spend a fortune on them – in case things didn’t work out. I bought them at the New Balance Factory Outlet in Skowhegan, ME.
One of the many definitions of insanity, is continuing to do the same thing over and over, without changing anything and then wonder why nothing changes.
I have gone through over 70 pair of running shoes since 2012 and during that time only 1 pair made it over 400 miles.
Something had to change.
A few weeks ago I had an epiphany about all the problems I have had with my right foot in running shoes, well all shoes. I thought that I might have finally figured out why how so many different brands, styles and models just have not worked for me. Continue reading
Okay, I decided to do my run on the treadmill today – which means in some circles I am definitely a wimp!!!
Okay – I accept and own it and you know something I don’t really care. 🙂
When Bennie and I walked this morning, it was 3*F with the wind chills driving feels like temps down into the -15 to -20*F range. My face hurt after being outside for less than 5 minutes and while we walked down to the first gate. Until we turned around it was a brutal walk.
Then a couple of hours later, Mary, Bennie and I walked up the snowmobile trail, if anything the winds had gotten worse and while the thermometer said it was 8*F the winds drove it far down into the negative numbers.
It is usually a walk that we all enjoy, but it was more “let’s get this over with” kind of walk this morning. At that point I knew that I wasn’t going to run 8-9 miles outside in that kind of weather.
