|Looking down the road that I ran down today, just
over the bump is the turn-around.
Today I ran later than usual and was out of sorts when I started running – I guess I have gotten into routine and don’t do as well running later now. I like that run before eating lunch. In the past when I had jobs with a lunch break and I was able to run in the middle of the day, that is when I ran my best.
We also went on a 2.0 mile trail walk over at Colby College, which is a really easy trail for for Bennie’s long walk this morning. It was just nice walking in the woods and the Peregrines worked really well there. I can’t wait to do a trail run in them, maybe Colby will be my first one pretty soon.
Back to this afternoon’s run. I started slowly and it took me almost 3/4 of a mile to get into a rhythm. Once I did I stopped thinking about the mechanics and just ran which felt good. I overdressed and had to pull the long sleeves of my light fleece up, I would have been better off with just a short sleeve t-shirt for 55 degrees, but I thought the breeze was a bit stronger than it turned out to be.
It was an okay run, but not anything special – but any run is a good run when I didn’t stop and kept a pretty steady pace the whole way back, which has those two hills.
Time of day: 2:30 P.M.
Weather: Overcast and a little breezy, but warmer than it should be for November.
