Week in Review – March 6, 2011

This has actually been a very good week, we started off with a snow day, that allowed me to finish up what I didn’t get done during February Break, while I was still sick. As always the first day back was “interesting”, but for the most part the rest of the week was pretty good. The best part I felt pretty good for the first time in over a month.

I started the iFacilitate open course and am learning some interesting things, that I hadn’t thought about before, but doing this course also means less posting about things I am using in the classroom. So I expect a 5-6 week mini sabbatical from my regular posting on One Foot In Reality, however I will be posting reflections on the iFacilitate course here.

Below are the most popular posts from last week based on pageviews:

  1. NOOK COLOR – REVIEW JANUARY 2011 – Jan 9, 2011
  2. Evernote as a Task Manager – Feb 19, 2011

Number 3 was a mini-rant last week about a New York Times article that insinuated that people over 50 need to ask someone younger how things work when it comes to technology. Oh well, I guess I am getting thin-skinned when it comes to someone thinking that just become I have hit a certain age, that I no longer am willing or can learn things on my own, but I don’t think that I am alone in feeling that way. I strongly believe in life-long learning and plan to keep learning about new technology and other things until I can’t any longer.Well I hope that everyone has a great week.
